Adam Werdenschlag, Biomechanics & Movement
Adam Werdenschlag is the founder and director of Adapt Fitness. As a biomechanical trainer and performance coach, Adam works with athletes helping them identify their weak movements, develop strength and conditioning, and create power and movement efficiency. His work with athletes concentrates on reducing injury risk, developing basic strength skills, understanding momentum, and improving movement intensity.
Adam works as the Fitness Coach for Lee Hurst’s 360 High Performance Tennis Program where he conducts group workouts, 1 on 1 session with players, and develops periodized, individually specific training programs. His unique approach focuses on the correcting poor movement patterns first, developing strength next, teaching power training techniques, and finally improving agility and movement efficiency. Adam’s fun approach teaches athletes to use proper form when performing basic strength exercises, identify and correct for potential injury hot spots, create efficient sequential application of force, and to be quick on their feet. This unique approach empowers the athletes to confidently approach a training program on their own. Adam’s focus is to create structurally balanced, powerful and fast athletes.
Adam’s extensive knowledge of biomechanics has improved the movement and decreased injuries of many athletes ranging from cyclists and triathletes to tennis and baseball players, including the 2006 NJ Tennis state champion. In addition, Adam has taught bachelor level courses in anatomy, kinesiology, and biomechanics to many trainers at the nations premier gyms and was the first Director of Personal Training for Goldman Sachs. Adam received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the Universtiy of Maryland where he also raced bicycles and shared leadership responsibilities on the men’s club lacrosse team.
